One of the simplest ways you can have a direct impact on global warming and the environment is to help create more renewable energy sources. In the United States, we have an abundance of green power from wind, sun, hydro, geothermal, tidal, and some forms of biomass. Other ways is using a solar panel to power most of your house. When you go to the store dont buy those cheap light bulbs that dont last verry long get the eco-friendly light bulbs which will help you save money and help put the world one step closer to saving are energy. Today some cities electricity comes from a wind field. Wind fields are a group of massive fans powered by earth winds. Not everyone knows what geothermal energy is well this is what it is. The term geothermal comes from the Greek geo, meaning earth, and therine, meaning heat, thus geothermal energy is energy derived from the natural heat of the earth. The earth’s temperature varies widely, and geothermal energy is usable for a wide range of temperatures from room temperature to well over 300°F. For commercial use, a geothermal reservoir capable of providing hydrothermal (hot water and steam) resources is necessary.

In english class this week we are starting are energy unit and we got are new book CHEW ON THIS. It is about fast food and there resturants and what the fast food can do to u and how there food is made. On friday we watched SUPER SIZE ME which i thought was a strange and nasty movie it was about a man who decided to go on a 1 month diet of only eating McDonalds. I guess it was for science well any way doctors told him that it was ridiculos and it was dangering his health. He still ingnored the doctors and decided to finish what he started. If the cashier ask to super size it then he had to. In the movie he talks to people asking how much Micky D's they eat. He also meets a man who eats 2 or 3 BIG Macs a day and had eatin more then 3000 in his life. the guy who experemented by eating McDonalds for a month gain 24 pounds in one month. Over all i thought that movie was wrong and it was wrong for that guy to be endangering his life even though it was for a goood reason. In the book CHEW ON THIS I read 128 pages and learned so much about how the fast food business started of and how they make and get there food. I leared about fries getting shot out of a fry gun and how they clean the potatoes. what shocked me about those strawberry shakes is that one ingredient artifical flavors had about 20 to 30 words i could not and i mean not prononce them and i just know that cant be could and it also had a strange ingredient in there it was 10% solution of alcohol it made me sick. so thats so far what i learned about my book and from what i heared it only get more discusting and unhealthy.
